Hello there! I’m Fardou, I am so happy you are here!
Let me tell you a little bit more about myself.
I was born and raised in the Netherlands but decided to make a big move across the world to North Vancouver for the love of my life and I love living here!
I bought my first camera, with my saved up pocket money, at the age of 12 and I have been in love with photography ever since.
I was that kid that would bring her camera everywhere, taking pictures of my friends, sunsets, leaves and what ever you could imagine. I even won my first prize at the age of 13, having my photograph featured in a book.
After high school I moved to the USA for a year to learn English and when I returned to the Netherlands I studied video editing and videography at the school of Arts in Groningen. After I graduated in 2013, I decided to travel the world. Only a couple weeks into my first trip in South East Asia I met my husband and together we traveled the world for a few more years. We worked and lived in New Zealand, we volunteered in Fiji and traveled all over Asia, Europe and North America before settling down in my husbands hometown of North Vancouver in 2018.
In my spare time you will find me drinking wine with my girlfriends on a patio, camping in the mountains, going on road trips, hiking, reading novels, going to spin and yoga classes, or trying out a new hobby.

My biggest love is obviously my husband, but besides that I love love, photography, travel, nature and my family. I am a huge family person and to be far away from my family has been hard as a lot of you may understand.
To combine all my passions into Fardou Photography is a dream come true. I want to capture and get to know your family, your love, your story and the beautiful nature around us.
I would love to be invited to be a part of your story and day and to get to know you, it would be such an honour and privilege to work with you. I approach each project with the same enthusiasm, creativity and genuine desire to capture your moment wether its a wedding, family gathering, love shoot, birthday party, family shoot or any moment you would like to have captured.

One of the things I love so much about photography and what got me into it in the first place, is that I think it's so important to have photographs of important moments in your life and have that moment frozen in time. How special is it now to see old photo's of your grandparents, family members or friends? So how amazing will it be for our future generations to come to see these photos of our generation? Let's celebrate lifes beauty through these captured moments.
I love to get creative and document moments in its purest ways. I want to get creative together and I'm always up for a challenge!
